Sharing Cedar Saplings

Last week, Taan Forest gave roughly 850 ts’uu (western red cedar) seedlings to local communities. Each seedling came with a card that included information about the seedlings along with tips on how to plant them.

DAAJING GIIDS

150 seedlings were handed out to community members at the Annual Kaiya Nungkoyas Williams: Remembering Lost Loved Ones event held in Daajing Giids Queen Charlotte Village.

HLGAAGILDA

Children from Skidegate Daycare and students of Sk’aadgaa Naay Elementary School each received seedlings to take home.

GAW TLAGÉE

The students of Chief Matthews School went out and planted over 400 trees in the school yard and throughout the community of Gaw Tlagée Old Massett!
